Ethar Alasmi

I am an honors student studying at Florida International University double majoring in Business Analytics & Marketing; with a great passion for Blockchain, Data and innovation. Currently, I am serving as the logistics coordinator for Blockchain at FIU; however, I am also working as the project director of a Web 3.0 project for the university. Moreover, I am passionate about integrating data with marketing analytics to provide business insights and solutions. I enjoy manipulating data with software tools such as Python and SQL, as they provide us with immense insights towards maximizing efficiency and outcomes. 

In regards to my work experience I have been working recently as the Events Logistics Coordinator at FIU, where I have been primarily focused on creating and managing our events within the campus and other blockchain events outside the university.

Moreover, I have also had experience working within the marketing field with Advanced Creative Solutions International (ACSI) and Al Waad Modern Treasures (AWMT) located in Muscat, Oman. Working with ACSI has given me the opportunity to manage their social media accounts and run advertisement campaigns. On the other hand, working with AWMT has allowed me to work directly with customers with the goal of maximizing sales, and enhancing customer experience. More details can be found in my resume.

Currently, I am a senior at Florida International University double majoring in Business Analytics & Marketing graduating in December 2023. Both majors are of great interest to me as I have learned many skills through relevant work experience and courses taken at FIU. However, Business Analytics has greatly opened my eyes towards the power behind data. Marketing dovetails well with business analytics, because data is the prime mover for most of marketing aspects.
