Greg Straus

I am an American currently enjoying my life here in Oman. I have over five years experience teaching Arabic speaking young people how to communicate in English. Before moving to Oman, I worked in lived in Sudan where I lived and worked for six years. I worked as both a journalist and a teacher. Both are exciting fields, but my heart lies in teaching. Through teaching language you are able to help people to communicate with the whole world and have endless career opportunities. I consider myself talented with children because I am both fun and receptive of the student's needs. My lessons are well planned, organized and engaging. I am flexible and have experience teaching various approach however, I feel that I am best trained in content based learning and as a facilitator of the communicative approach.

Journalism: copy editing , page layout , content writing in weekly and daily news journals

Communication: personal interviews one on one, research, business reports and proposals concerning US Aid 

Education: International School Language Teacher, Technical Training Center Instructor, Institutional Language Teacher.

Finished a Bachelor Degree with high marks in a five year program from the State University of New Jersey.
