Samar Elsayed

I'm Samar, an Egyptian national born and brought up in Oman. I speak English, Arabic and Chinese and am a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery

My first teaching experience was when I worked part-time in China while I studied there. I started teaching English at Holiday English School. Even with my limited Chinese and their limited English, we still found ways to communicate and it helped them develop their language faster and more effectively. I made use of various classroom activities and games for repetition and practice, all while making class fun and interactive for all the students. During COVID, I started my own online Zoom English classes for children of ages 5-10 years. I'd been doing that independently for about two years, mixing and matching different curriculums such as ESL, Jolly Phonics and Montessori, along with unique and practical teaching methods to craft my own personal English Course. The children had improved considerably especially in the Speaking and Listening departments with my guidance. I typically had 4-5 classes a week, but eventually had to stop to focus on my medical internship a the time.
