Job Summary:

The Assistant Operator plays a crucial role in supporting the production line and team at various sites to meet the company's objectives. Key responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, operating equipment, and optimizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines as per company policy.
• Load coils/wire rods into pay-off stands and perform cold pressure welding techniques of wire rods.
• Support the team in preparing the twin wire drawing machine, converting wire rods to required sizes.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for moving coils, baskets, and drums.
• Maintain a clean work environment and minimize costs.
• Select dies properly and keep the wire drawing machine in good condition.

Stranding Operations:

• Assist in loading wire baskets into bobbins and setting conductors in the stranding machine.
• Load take-up drums and operate the machine to produce conductors.
• Unload finished conductors and label them accordingly.
• Perform cold pressure and butt-welding techniques of wires.
• Support operating overhead line conductor machines and maintain records.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work on a shift basis, including overtime as required.
• Maintain good attendance records and adhere to company rules.
• Highlight product or material defects/non-conformances to supervisors/engineers.
• Familiarize yourself with safety and quality system procedures and maintain a clean workplace.

Requirements:

• Diploma/High School with experience in a conductor manufacturing company.
• 3-4 years of experience in conductor line processes.

Desirable Skills/Knowledge:

• Basic technical skills.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Safe driving of forklifts and overhead crane operation.
• Wire welding skills.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per annum
