1 Conducts calibration checks on testing equipment.

2 Ensures lab equipment is maintained as per schedule.

3 Reports issues with equipment to the Supervisor and suggests replacements or upgrades.

4 Provides timely fault analysis reports to the production department to prevent scrap.

5 Performs quality-related documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and easily retrievable.

6 Provides regular reports on quality performance, progress, and status

7 Conducts various day-to-day testing in the laboratory in line with established quality standards and procedures. Tests conducted are as under –

· Dimensions (Wall thickness, Outer diameter, Out of roundness (ovality), weight per meter)

· Visual Inspection (Appearance, Correct Marking, correct Structural Features, Correct Colour, Correct length)

· Impact Resistance test

· Heat Reversion test

· Effects of Heat

· Compression test

· Hydrostatic pressure test @20/40/60 degree Celsius

· Burst test

· Dichloromethane test

· Vicat Softening Temperature

· Elongation/ Tensile Test

Raw material (Resin) testing

· Bulk Density

· Apparent Density

· Volatile Content

· Sieve Analysis

· Black Spec Content

· Oxidation induction Time

· Melt Flow Rate

· alignment and secure attachment of the mould/Tool to the machine.

8 Understanding the drawings of Fabricated items

9 Quality Control of fabricated items as per Quality Plan and Drawings

10 Product Testing as per Quality Plan

Desired Candidate Profile

1 Diploma Holder or equivalent in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical / or similar with at least 2 years of relevant experience in process industries.

2 Experience in implementation of quality standards and procedures.

3 Good command in English (writing & speaking)

4 Exposure in ERP system

5 Knowledge of working on computer
