Job title: Civil Inspector

Education: Engineering degree (Civil/Structural Engineering preferred)

Specialty: Construction Site Temporary Structures I.e. Scaffolding, Formwork, Temporary bridges/gantries, Shoring systems, Temporary support frameworks.

Experience : Minimum 5 years' experience in Commercial building construction, Infrastructure development, Civil engineering projects, Industrial facility construction, Renovation and restoration works.

Technical knowledge:

• Evaluate temporary structures through systematic technical visual inspection verifying alignment and level, material condition, connection point integrity, deformation, etc.
• Advanced understanding of national and international construction standards, including BS, EN, and ISO regulations.
• Thorough understanding of requirements of local Accreditation Body where applicable.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings.
• Thorough understanding of temporary works components i.e. vertical support, horizontal platforms, diagonal bracing, base plates and foundation supports, connection joints and couplers, access ladders and walkways, formwork, shuttering.
• Deep insights into scaffolding engineering, formwork design, temporary support systems, and shoring techniques.
• Ability to Integrate theoretical knowledge with practical site experience, ensuring that temporary structures meet rigorous safety and engineering standards throughout the construction process.
• Understanding of compliance reporting and record-keeping requirements.
• Ability to generate comprehensive reports and present findings effectively with photographic documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to various stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
