Job Summary

This role involves inspecting and testing product compounds to determine their chemical and physical properties. The successful candidate will maintain samples from each batch, check materials against standards, and handle sample preparation machines with care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and test product compounds using spectrometer equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of sample classification and composition.
• Verify materials meet established standards and adhere to IMS format guidelines.
• Operate sample preparation machines and transportation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Analyze test data to identify process or equipment inefficiencies and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers and QC Assistance Managers as needed.
• Conduct additional testing on non-routine samples as required.
• Perform a range of duties assigned by the QA Engineer/QC Assistance Manager.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of operational data for reliable performance and inventory management.
• Familiarize yourself with safety and quality procedures, maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with OAPIL IMS and OAPIL HSE standards.
• Complete tasks delegated by direct supervisors.
• Oversee laboratory operations within the Quality Control department.
• Evaluate raw materials to ensure they align with OAPIL specifications.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for vendor notification in case of deviations.
• Coordinate third-party inspections of finished goods in conjunction with Sales and Marketing teams.
• Ensure lab equipment is functioning correctly, serviced, and calibrated according to relevant standards, working with vendors for calibration and certification.
• Arrange training sessions and weekly meetings for QC supervisors and inspectors.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and inconsistent analytical results in collaboration with QC engineers and technicians.
• Ensure strict adherence to all testing standards.
• Be prepared to receive assignments from Management/Team leaders/Direct Line reports to enhance operational skills and potentially transfer to other departments as needed.

• Internal: Production, Marketing, Logistics, Procurement, Finance.
• External: Customers, Suppliers, Government/related ministries.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar manufacturing facility's QC department.
