I am Dr.GUNASEKHARAN SUBBAIYAN is a very passionate towards teaching, research and administration. I have 20 years of experience in Academic, Administration and Research. Also, five years in industry. I have awarded Ph.D., degree in the field of Lean Manufacturing (Mechanical Engineering) from Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Tamilnadu, India in 2017.

I started my career in United India Engineering and Foundry Services as Junior Engineer. Here it self my administration work started by being a responsible for quality and production. Then I shifted my career towards teaching field. I have started my teaching career as a Lecturer in PARK College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore in the year 2000 and worked at various Institutions at a range of different positions like NSS Program officer, Hostel warden, Head of the department for Mechanical Engineering and also for Automobile Engineering and Vice Principal.

I believe that Mr. Jim Rohn quote, “A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better”. To prove that I have involved in the development of infrastructure, teaching learning process and professional society activities of the department. During the period, I have established five laboratories for undergraduate program apart from Innovation Lab, Tech. Clinic Lab and National Instruments LabVIEW laboratory. I have been involved in curriculum development process as Chairman - Board of studies, Academic Council member and Governing council member. Also, I have developed the objectives and outcomes for Engineering Graphics, Total Quality Management and Operations Research courses. Under my leadership, I have organized and coordinated more than 100 programs at college and department level such as technical symposium, workshops, seminars, Project expo and International Conferences. Encouraged and mentored our department students to participate and organize Co-curricular & Extracurricular activities. Encouraged the students to undergo internships and industrial projects. I have produced three batch convocation for undergraduate program and two batch convocation for PG program.

In addition, I served as a coordinator for National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and steering committee member in NAAC and IQAC and the department has received extension of NBA accreditation for 3 more years for B.Tech.-Mechanical Engineering Programme.

I had few honors to my credit for worth mentioning, published 19 research publications in international journals and conferences. I have published two patents till now and received NPTEL online certification for Total Quality Management-I. Also I have published two book chapters in IGI global publisher.

I am sound in communication, good team worker, positive thinker, single minded personality. I will do my best for this noble profession.
