The other areas of responsibilities:

• Supervise the activities of the Instrument personnel exercising supervisory authority as required.
• Receive work orders, allocates work to individual technicians, and liaises with maintenance planning for daily work schedules.
• Supervises the work of the personnel to ensure quality, minimizing down time and completion of work as per plan.
• Carries out Stock Planning, Monitors current stock levels of spares, places stock orders through the Instrument Superintendent to ensure that the operation of the section is not hampered.
• Resolves complex operational situations, interfacing with other sections and provides assistance with the knowledge, skill and experience in activities.
• Updates knowledge of all Instrument control distribution systems in the Refinery
• Participates in the training and development of Instrument trainees as directed by the supervisor.
