Worked at State bank of India client international trade system.

Handled server installations, configurations and troubleshooting. Manage the team of multipleengineers. Take care of the running application on Linux based application. My task includes server monitoring, system health alerts (CPU, RAM and Disk utilization). Application health and different storage mount file system across application. Sometime check and work on VMWare console if issue arise. Check the issues and alerts on VM console. 

Preparing Change request for the any hardware and software changes need to be done on servers as per requirement. Take care of application, Data base and web servers. Keep the watch on all the alerts and make sure that these servers keep functioning during the business hours. We also prepare new UAT, DEV and PROD server from scratch to release. Perform activities of Patch (OS patch and Security patch or Errata patch) via BMC patch management as usual on monthly and quarterly basis or as per severity of the servers and environments. Migration of servers from low kernel version to higher kernel version as the ELS (End of Life support). Perform in place migration on servers if required. An in-place migration (or upgrade) update software on an operating system directly on the same server/hardware, replacing the old version while trying to keep setting data and application intact a side by side migration which uses new hardware for a fresh install.

Worked at State bank of India client project SP4. Sp4 is a project which take care of SBI technical and it infrastructure across the globe around 24 countries including UAE. I worked there as Linux admin and take of Linux based infrastructures and VMWare. My role includes as, Day today activities Continuously monitoring system performance, logs, and resource usage (CPU, memory, disk) to ensure stability and availability Monitoring, Maintenance, deployment of new PROD, UAT and DEV servers on Linux based OS (Operating systems), Implementation of change request and deployment after going through different approval process and downtimes whenever is feasible and approved by the management. Implementing and enforcing security protocols, managing user accounts and permissions, and conducting securityaudits to protectagainst threats. DeployEC2 and S3 bucket, EBS, EFS. Managing and implementing virtual servers using technologies like VMware. Patch and VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing). There were around 500 servers across environments.

We used to do VAPT once we get the point to be implant after the server scan from VAPT and security teams. I perform regular patch on servers via local or central repository and via “BMC patch management tools”. We plan patch on quarterly, half early patch and sometimes it’s depend upon the severity of the servers and patch importance. Perform DR activity on half yearly basis. I also work with DB and application team while some activity and issue need to be fix during and after the activity let it be patch and other activity. Migration and upgrade of server form low kernel version to higher kernel version once the EOL support end from the RED HAR or venders.
