    Job Description:

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language, literature, grammar and composition, along with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.

    Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that align with Edexcel curriculum standards.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate.
  • Incorporate differentiation and a variety of learning strategies in lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress regularly through various methods including tests, quizzes, projects, discussions and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Foster a love for reading and literature by introducing students to a wide range of literary works from different genres and cultures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate English language skills with other subject areas.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues and administrators to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English Language/Literature or a related field
  • Teaching certification – PGCE/QTS
  • Proven experience of teaching the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3-4
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar, composition and literary analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
